How to sign in to your Uphold account
This article walks you through the sign-in process, steps to secure your account, and troubleshooting tips for common login issues.
1. Quick sign-in steps
- Open the Uphold website or mobile app.
- Click Sign in or Log in in the top-right corner.
- Enter the email address associated with your account and your password.
- If prompted, complete two-factor authentication (2FA) or approve the login via your authenticator app.
- After successful verification you will land on your dashboard and can access wallets, send/receive funds, and view activity.
3. If you forgot your password
Use the Forgot password? link on the login page. You'll receive an email with a secure link to reset your password. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder and verify you're using the correct email address.
Important: If you previously set up recovery options (recovery email, phone, or backup codes), have them handy. Uphold will never ask for your password via support chat or email.
4. Troubleshooting common issues
- Cannot receive 2FA codes: Ensure your authenticator app's time is synced, or use backup codes if available.
- Suspicious activity: Immediately change your password, revoke active sessions, and contact support.
- Account locked: Follow the on-screen instructions or contact Uphold support with relevant verification details.

- Keep private keys and seed phrases offline and never share them.
- Double-check addresses before sending funds — use copy & paste and confirm the full address when possible.
